Local, Creative Workshops

Workshop facilitator, Rebecca, arranges collage materials onto a table set for her guests.

I host small, thoughtfully curated creative workshops exploring mixed-media collage, textiles, paper, photography and visual storytelling.

Every workshop is designed to be slow, hands-on and personal — a chance to make something meaningful with your own hands.

Some workshops focus on collage. Others are shorter and focus on one medium such as foil embossing, junk journalling or photo embroidery. Each one is different, but they all begin with the same idea:

Stories are worth making by hand.

Photo Embroidery: Stitching Stories Into Photographs

*Currently in development.

A 2.5-hour mixed media collage workshop, featuring photo embroidery. You’ll learn simple hand embroidery over printed photographs or magazine cutouts. I’ll share some beginner embroidery stitches which will transform your pictures into tactile artworks full of texture and story!

Future workshop themes may also include:

  • Mixed-media collage

  • Foil Embossing

  • Visual journalling / Junk journalling

Can’t make it in person? I’m currently developing self-paced online workshops so you can create with me from anywhere.

Past Workshops

Mixed Media Collage Workshop

My founding workshop - an afternoon of collage, texture and storytelling, where participants created layered mixed-media artworks using vintage papers, fabric and foil embossed frames. I also shared my personal process for collage as well as several different collage techniques on a handmade take-home sheet.
